Find out how Sandy Foster transformed a rundown hunting cabin into a whimsical Victorian getaway on a budget.

Sandy's Victorian Cottage
Sandy's cottage, a pink and white paradise, is only 9 feet by 14 feet. She decorated it herself using old materials to give it an aged feel. Everything she did to transform the one time hunting cabin into this Victorian cottage fantasy space cost just $3,000.

Sandy's House Before
Sandy and her husband bought the property with this cabin in upstate NY in 2007. She was immediately struck with a vision of how to transform the space.

Sandy's House After
Sandy took ten weeks to transform the cottage, and she worked a second job to earn the money she needed for the changes she wanted to make.

China Cabinet
Sandy made this cabinet with scraps she found and then covered it with French Windows, which she bought for $20 at a yard sale. The chicken wire on the middle part is from her own chicken coop and was attached with a staple gun. The middle door is a screen door she bought for $10. The hardware is from an antique store.

Sofa
The cushions are down euro-squares with lace-edged pillowcases. Sandy says she gets the luxury of down without the down sofa price. The seat-back cushions are just standard pillows and pillowcases.

Chandelier
The chandelier, which Sandy recommends using to fill the volume of a space, cost just $15 at a yard sale. Sandy added crystals to give it more of a pop.

Flower Arrangements
To give your home an extra warm feel, Sandy recommends putting flowers in unexpected places.

Mantle Dressing
