Note: For our rug we enlarged it to 135%. File should be printed on or design transferred onto a sturdy card stock paper. It is necessary to create multiples of the image (how many depends on the size of your rug.)

Cut out images.

Lightly apply a coat of spray glue to the back of the cut-outs.

Begin arranging templates on rug.

The squares overlap in a brick like pattern. The points where they overlap are near the corners, indicated with parallel lines.

Ensure templates are firmly in position on the rug before painting.
Paint rug with a matte black spray paint. Work outdoors or with plenty of ventilation.
Protect adjacent areas from over spray.

Work slowly and carefully. More than one coat of paint may be necessary.20110912_2003_Rug_Tips_8x5
