Otomi Headboard
This is a headboard that I made! I was inspired by the popular Design*Sponge blog and hired a wood cutter for the shaping of the plywood, but I upholstered it myself. It is definitely and big accomplishment. I used Otomi fabric for the headboard, and next to the bed is an old table I sprayed high-gloss white, a gilded mirror, and a Green Your Air plant. — Fawn C. Unique Photo Frame
This is a tribute to my Daddy, who has enjoyed photography from an early age. It's the front of an old Kodak camera I found at a salvage yard. I knew immediately that it would make the perfect mixed media frame for a picture of my Daddy...I was inspired by two of Nate’s shows (using every objects i.e. old ladders and boxes to display treasures and preserving family photos) to find special ways to honor my parents and the wonderful history of their 65 years together that their numerous photographs captured. — Anna M. Scrap Wood Lamp with Hand Painted Shade
I needed a lamp for my front room, but my husband was unemployed at the time. I came up with the idea of making a lamp from things I already had. I cut pieces of scrap wood leftover from other projects. I used a miter saw to cut the wood, and I drilled holes through the center of each piece. I didn't measure. I found these perfect little cards on one of my outings-so I used address labels, and with an exacto knife, cut around the edges of the flower.
